Meeting Hugo.Kükelhaus Berufskolleg ROC Nijmegen

Four student wrote their expactions about the meeting between students of ROC Nijmegen and Hugo.Kükelhaus Berufskolleg on 23 November 2010.

Next week we are going to visit a school in the Netherlands. I think it's going to be very funny and I want to see how the students work there. I also want them to tell us about the school system and if they like the school. What do they want to do in future and how do they get on this school? Why did they choose this school?

I expect kind and polite students who like to show us their school life and what kind of hobbies they have. I hope that they like us and that I can learn something, see interesting things which I never saw before...

I expect for this day that all of our class mates arrive punctual, that we all can go to Nijmegen together.

I hope that we will have fun and good weather. I'm looking forward to see Nijmegen and the Valkhof Museum, because in the Netherlands there is a different culture.

I'm very interested to get to know other people (students) from another school and what they do at the ROC, I hope that we learn to speak English more fluently even if it will be hard work.

I can't wait and want to know what we will do with our own picture (the photos Mrs. Roosen took of us), the scissors and the "Bordure"needle.

Nijmegen is a city In the the Netherlands. It's near Arnhem and Kleve.

My expectations are to meet nice people who like fashion, clothing and sewing. I also hope that we have a nice day in the Netherlands. Every day with my classmates is entertaining and I think this day will be fun, too. Maybe I can get some impressions for some new fashion styles,

I want to learn something about the school and other creative students. They sell some clothing and don't only sew and design, this is interesting, too because we learn a lot about sewing and they learn how to present and how to sell clothes. Will there be a difference between us? After all, it's Europe!

I hope the weather will be fine, so we can drink a hot coffee in the middle of Nijmegen and maybe I have the chance to buy something nice. When we go to the museum I want to do some "cultural stuff."

My expectation

At first I hope we can understand what the pupils of the ROC, "Regionales opleiding Center" will say. I'm looking forward to speak English the whole day, but it will be something special. I'm not used to that.

Moreover I hope that we can learn something about their school, their subjects and their lessons, I would be delighted when the Netherlands students are polite and we maybe can relearn things of them.  I hope we like each other and that we can establish contact with them, for example via Facebook or even emails.

It's also important that my class mates and me can enjoy the day and have a lot of fun.
